Description

Stuffed Pork Chops. From Olivia.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1 inch thick
  • 2 cups dry bread cubes
  • 1 small apple, diced
  • 1 rib celery, diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) chicken broth
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook onion, celery, and apple in butter until soft. Stir in bread, sage, and enough broth to moisten.
  2. Cut a pocket in each chop. Season, fill, and close with toothpicks.
  3. Sear 2 minutes a side, then bake 18 to 22 minutes, to 145°F (63°C). Rest 5 minutes.

Notes

A thin chop cannot hold stuffing. Buy them thick.
