Description

Beef and Broccoli. From Olivia.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) flank steak, sliced thin
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) water

Instructions

  1. Toss the beef with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and the cornstarch. Stir the remaining soy, oyster sauce, sugar, and water.
  2. Stir-fry the broccoli in oil with a splash of water until bright. Set aside.
  3. Cook the beef hot and fast. Add garlic and ginger, return the broccoli, and pour in the sauce. Toss until it glosses.

Notes

Slice the beef across the grain and against the cold. Warm meat shreds.
